Ninja Heroes of Fortnite

The Ninja are one of four hero classes in Fortnite Save the World. On paper they are built to primarily focus on ability and melee damage even though in Fortnite, they work very well, if not better, with all types of ranged weapons, too. As the name would suggest, they are one of the premier damage dealing classes in the game. Capable of putting up some of the highest combat numbers.

Ninjas are known for taking the fight to the husks in the heat of the battle. They're an attacking class by nature and most of their combat is usually up close and personal. They are also known for being able to clear out waves of small husks with ease, thanks to high damage AOE abilities. Such as Dragon Slash, Throwing Stars, Kunai Storm and Smoke Bomb.

Ninjas have one of the highest shield to health ratios of heroes in the game but have lower health in general than other classes. Including a few subclasses with the lowest base health overall. Due to it's low total health/shield numbers, it's imperative for the Fortnite Ninja to avoid taking as much damage as possible. Ninjas are given many abilities to help them get out of sticky situations. They are given a few damage mitigation abilities but in Fortnite avoidance truly is key unless you plan on stacking a lot of armor on your builds.

Thankfully ninjas are one of the most mobile classes in the game, only rivaled by Outlanders with the Phase Shift ability. Although their vertical agility is unmatched due to their class specific double jump ability called Mantis Leap. Couple that with abilities like Smoke Bomb (PBAOE DMG) and Shadow Stance (DMG Resistance) and ninjas are very capable of sustaining themselves in fights surrounded by enemies. Especially when enhanced with the right support and/or tactical bonuses.

The Ninja's arch-nemesis out on the battlefield are the Laser, Bee, Taker & Smasher zombies. Laser zombies can do a lot of damage very fast and can hit you from far away, killing you before you have a chance to close the distance gap. Bee zombies tend to litter the battlefield with bees and make it hard to avoid damage as you navigate the field. Taker's and Smasher's tend to have lots of health and do loads of damage, both catering to the weaknesses of the ninja. Those being, low single target damage and relatively lower health and shields.

Being able to swiftly navigate the battle field is a necessity for the ninja. Darting in and out of danger delivering well orchestrated attacks with precision. Ninjas can be lethal and at the same time frail. It's a delicate balance that is a skill to master and beautiful once perfected.
