Outlanders
The right heroes are an important factor and can prove to be quite useful in different scenarios in Fortnite Save the World. In the case of farming, certain heroes can help you farm more efficiently. Lets go over which heroes might represent the best advantages for us when we're out farming.
One entire class within the game was custom built for farming. The Outlander class. Every Outlander has the same three class perks. All three have something to do with farming materials more efficiently. Lets check them out individually.
Anti-Material Charge might be the best farming ability in the game and it's not even included as one of your three main abilities when you choose an Outlander. You can consider it extra to the class. That's before you decide to buff it up in any way.
Anti-Material Charge can basically one punch any obstacle in the game and whatever it breaks will generate material(s) to gather. It is instant cast but has a hefty energy cost so you can't spam it without support.
The team perk, "Long Arm of the Law" extends the length of Anti-Material Charge one extra tile. Requiring two Outlanders in your loadout to activate. It makes AMC much more efficient. The team perk, "One-Two Punch" also has a great synergy with AMC as well.
If that's all you had, you'd be in good hands. In The Zone and Loot Llama also provide extra options for farming that are quite exceptional.
Loot Llama fragments can be found around zones and can summon a Loot Llama that anyone can destroy. Destroying the loot llama will generate a lot of resources of all different varieties. Mostly wood, stone, metal and a few random materials. The more you hit it, the more materials it creates, until it is finally destroyed.
In The Zone increases your Pick Axe damage by 25% and Movement Speed by 7.5%. It also shows you nearby containers, even through walls. So nothing can hide. Every hero gets a pickaxe but only outlanders get the In The Zone class perk. It is quite good.
When you don't need to smash through an object or beat it with your pick axe, the next best thing for farming is movement speed. The Outlander ability Phase Shift allows you to teleport a short distance. It makes traveling around the map quite efficient.
Any heroes that can improve your travel time can be beneficial to your farming builds. Especially in support roles. Like Fleetfoot Ken. The Ninja who improves your Movement Speed.
