Farming Storm Chests
Storm Chests are one of the most rewarding activities a player can participate in within the game. The event itself is pretty straight forward. If you do it successfully, it can have up to three waves. You have one minute to eliminate a 25 husk elimination wave, another 25 husk elimination wave and then a 2 Mist Monster elimination final wave.
Rewards vary from two presents for completing the entire event. To one present for completing only the first 25 elimination wave. You receive no presents at all for failing the event completely.
You must locate a Storm Chest on the map before you can begin the event. Most maps have at least one Storm Chest. Very rarely a map will not have one at all. Rarely they will have multiple chests you can do. For now, it is random how many you may find.
Once you find a Storm Chest all you have to do is interact with the chest to begin the event. The first wave will require you to eliminate 25 husks in one minute. If you can complete that task, you will be rewarded with an extended amount of Bonus husks to eliminate. Capping at 50 total.
If you eliminate all fifty within one minute, two Mist Monsters will spawn. They can be any combination of Takers and/or Blasters. Eliminating the two Mist Monsters will end the event. Two presents will then appear for each player that was in qualifying range.
These lucrative presents are loaded with limited materials and a few level-appropriate weapons. These weapons shouldn't be used. You can break down the weapons for even more of these limited materials.
Please Note: The only people who get rewards for Storm Chests are those who are within a certain tile range when the event ends. Meaning you can miss the rewards if someone finishes one without you and you're too far away. It's polite in public missions to offer everyone the opportunity to come participate if you find a Storm Chest on your own.
Storm Chests are something you can join a mission to do, then quit and start all over again. The most common place to find Storm Chests are on the edges or outskirts of the maps. Once you find one, it will show up on your in game map.
Please Note: Be considerate when you're out farming Storm Chests and set your Privacy Type to Private before dropping in and out of missions.
